Karen is currently
holds the title of Experienced Scientist in the Software Architecture and Processes
program of ABB Corporate Research. She is a member of the US ASPI (ABB Software
Process Initiative) team, which is managed by Aldo Dagnino and located on the
NC State Centennial Campus. The team's purpose is to provide business-goal-driven,
IDEAL-based process improvement guidance to ABB business units in the Americas.
Karen has over 20 years experience in the full software systems development life cycle, as a software developer and as a manager of people and projects. Her industry experience includes health operations, aerospace, fleet logistics, data networking, telecommunications, and ABB's power and automation technologies. Karen's personal interests and strengths are in both research and deployment for coaching and supporting "AGILE Teams". Karen is (perhaps uniquely) both a SEI-authorized Team Software Process Coach and a Certified Scrum Master.
