Many different approaches have been proposed over the years for arriving at the 'ideal' size for a Quality Assurance group. Most of these formulas take into account the number of developers and very little else. There are many more variables to be considered before an informed judgment can be made on the 'right' size for a QA group in any particular organization. This presentation will explore those variables and how to put them to practical use.
