Five years ago, Extreme Programming (XP) emerged as a new and different software development methodology. Since that time, many organizations, small and large, have adopted XP or a subset of its practices. Recently, XP author, Kent Beck, published the second edition of XP. The second edition reshuffles the XP practices. In this talk, Dr. Williams will present a comparative view of XP1 vs. XP2. She will also discuss some industrial case studies of XP1 teams relative to how closely they had already chosen the XP2 practices.
