To propose a potential topic for future RTP-SPIN meetings. A member of the Leadership Council will reply to you within two weeks.

Meeting Dynamics

Our meetings are hosted by different companies in the RTP - Raleigh / Durham area. We've recently been hosted by Acterna, Data General / EMC, Ericsson, IBM, Lucent Technologies and Sony Ericsson.

Our meetings typically run from 10:20 - 12 Noon, with the meeting starting at 10:30 sharp. If we have a vendor sponsored lunch meeting, then we shift the times to 11:20 - 1pm.

When reserving a conference room, use 10:00am - 12:30pm or 11:00am - 1:30pm, depending on the type of meeting.

Meeting attendance approximations:

• We have approximately 150 people on the SPIN mailing list
• We average 35 attendees at our regular meetings
• and average 55 attendees at our lunch meetings
• Of course meeting attendance always depends on time of year, location and presentation content

 Presentation material requirements include:

• LCD projector
• Drop down screen
• Available power
• Seating for attendees -- When limited by room size, we can limit attendance.
• Microphone, if a large conference room
• Whiteboards, flip charts and other materials are sometimes helpful
• The presenter or SPIN usually supplies the laptop
